The pain of separation

 

Divorce You are a wonder
We fell in love on the day
we parted under the sky
 Do you remember this darling
I was in your arms that day,
We sang together, We laughed together,
We made a lovely nest
Do you remember darling

We  found the storm destroyed
And I'm still collecting the scattered sticks in our cage
You too were swept away by the wind
 You left me
I saw the new cage you built for me alone How can I believe my eyes?
I love you who suffer alone,
my heart does not blame you
even if you fly away

Darling love is a donation
not a tie
Because I love you,
 I set you free to fly to any area
you like

I wish you could finish your new nest beautifully
I assemble the pieces of wood and make half of our old cage
You know why
 I like to keep fond memories of the old cage forever
Darling Smell your scent
And see your image
Halfway through the cage though
I will always love you even if you fly away because of the storm

     I would love to tell you about my Pahimpath ceremony. The ceremony was held on 12th April 2019 at the Bimbarama Temple, Kadawatha. My dear teachers selected me for this task. My teachers are Mr. Suranga Botheju and Mrs. Piyumi Anuradha Gunasekara. " Shilpadhi " is their Academy. I was student of Academy of Shilpadhi. My teachers and parents were worked heard a lot for my pahimpath ceremony. There were many people in that ceremony for watching. My family members, friends and relations were come that day. I was very happy. We had been at the temple since the evening of the day before the ceremony. At that time our parents and relatives worked very hard for us. We had to perform a ritual that night. After that we rest from the night and wake up in the morning and take a shower. Then they dressed  us and took us to the "budumadura". Afterwards, guest teachers placed pahimpath for us and we performed dance.
